Geocaching in Tarp

Sports, gaming, a lot of fun and open air activity. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container/stash) hidden at that location. The locations can be seen on the internet.

A stash is usually a waterproof container within a logbook and, depending on the size of the container, some small trading goods. The visitor who found the stash signs the logbook with his nickname to proof his found and shall hide the container in the same place where he found it again. The found can then also be logged on the related web page too. The log can also contain some fotos (not reporting the hiding of course). In Tarp and its municipal are actually around 100 geocaches hidden. They are in several categories demanding different skills.

If you have any further questions don’t hasitate to contact us. We can provide a GPSr if needed (fee) and recommend some stashes worth a visit and meeting your needs. Have fun while seeking.
